Man admits burning-car murder

A man has admitted murdering a woman whose body was found in a burning car in South Auckland. Palmer Edward Marsters pleaded guilty via audio-visual link in the High Court at Auckland yesterday to murdering Chontel Wiki-O’Brien, 23, in November last year. Marsters stabbed her at least three times, before leaving her body in the passenger seat of his car and setting it on fire. Justice Geoffrey Venning convicted Marsters and remanded him in custody for sentencing in August.
