Woman on murder charge
A woman has been accused of murdering Taranaki farmworker Jacob Mills Ramsay. The woman, 30, has been charged with murder, kidnapping and burglary and is the third person to face charges in the case. She appeared in New Plymouth District Court yesterday via audiovisual link from New Plymouth Police Station. Judge Gregory Hikaka granted lawyer Patrick Mooney’s request for interim name suppression for the woman and remanded her in custody. Ramsay’s body was found in Oaonui, South Taranaki, on July 31.
