Sales in the 2022 financial year topped $3.3 million excluding GST.
Allan says, “Taupo is certainly enjoying a development boom and businesses like Flooring First are cashing in on it.
“They’ve got $1.4 million in forward work booked in between now and December so that’s pretty significant.”
Recent figures from the Taupo District Council show it is processing an average of 28 new building consents a month.
With a number of planned residential developments yet to start, that news can only add to the business owners’ confidence.
The owners have surrounded themselves with experienced and motivated staff.
The business is very systemised, which will make it easy for a new owner to walk in and take over with the staff ’s help.
The team is well versed in the business and can be relied upon to manage it in the owner’s absence.
Flooring First and Taupo Tiles is situated in a high-profile building in the town’s new industrial area.
It is a tastefully laid-out showroom and adjoining warehouse that makes for a tidy and comfortable workplace.
This highly profitable business is on the market at $1.1 million plus stock, and a buyer should expect at least a 35 per cent return on investment.
