MOST EXPENSIVE: LEXUS LS
It was the super-luxury LS sedan that started Lexus off back in the 1980s, as a rival and wake-up call to the likes of the BMW 7-Series and MercedesBenz S-Class. The latest model still aims to be a showcase of quality and technology.
The hybrid model (there's also still a conventional petrol version) matches a 3.5-litre petrol V6 to a hybrid electric system, rear-drive with air suspension.
It's certainly hard to beat the refinement of a hybrid powertrain in a super-luxury sedan.
