Electric vehicle acronyms will be my topic of the week. “Build Your Dreams” (BYD) is an attention-grabber, not least because it’s written across the tailgate. Great Wall’s new Ora brand stands for “Open, Reliable, Affordable” and Leaf is “Low Emissions Affordable Family vehicle”.

Taking social media to a new level is the Nissan Friend-Me. The concept appeared at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The four seats are separate and give access to the same tech to promote equality between friends. Whether this is cool or just weird, I’ll leave up to you.
