Intruder attacks elderly man

An elderly Ashburton man was “savagely attacked” after disturbing an intruder on his property this week. The man in his 70s required hospital treatment after the Thursday night attack. The suspect was described as a man around 188cm tall, medium build, wearing a white or light-coloured hoodie with the hood up over his head.
