A modern take on the hit musical Moulin Rouge! with a Kiwi twist is set to come alive in Auckland.

Presented by Liberty Stage, tonight’s production is described as a ‘sumptuous and stylish curation of timeless hits from Elton John, David Bowie, T-Rex, Madonna, The Police and U2 through to Nature Boy, Lady Marmalade and beyond’’.
Along with Yulia and Laga'aia, Kiwi artists performing include Milan Borich (Pluto), Theia, Lou’ana, newcomer Sebastian Holland Dudding and Laga'aia’s fellow opera stars Samson Setu and Taka Vuni. The singers are backed by a lavish rock ensemble complete with strings and brass under the musical direction of Mark Dennison.
