Arrests after break-in

Two people are in custody after a break-in yesterday at a central Auckland coffee shop. Police said they were called to a burglary on Pt Chevalier Rd at 3.27am. A witness said the front door of the MatchBox Coffee House cafe in Pt Chevalier was damaged. Police were also called to a reported smash-and-grab at Domino's Pizza on Te Atat¯u Peninsula. The store's front entrance windows had been smashed through, with the ground outside and inside the shop left with shattered glass and debris. It is not known whether anything was taken.
