Vote for People’s Choice and win

Have your say on the best car of 2022 — there’s a $5k petrol/charge prize pool up for grabs!

-

Following the massive response to our 2021 AA DRIVEN NZ Car of the Year reader vote class, where the Tesla Model 3 was voted as the numberone choice, People’s Choice is back.

We’ve expanded the eligibility list from last year’s top 10 sellers to the top 15 for 2022, giving even more scope to voice your views. Even better, by doing so you could win “fuel” simply by voting, below.

We have a prize pool to the value of $5000, thanks to AA SmartFuel and ChargeNet. So it doesn’t matter whether you drive petrol/diesel or electric — we have all the options covered.

To enter, simply vote from the selection of cars on this page. While the AA DRIVEN COTY selection process is based on our judges’ selections, the People’s Choice is based solely on the top 15 most popular vehicles in NZ, up to the end of October 2022. It’s truly a popularity contest.

Last’s year’s inaugural People’s Choice winner was something of a watershed moment. As the only battery electric vehicle to truly achieve mainstream appeal, the Tesla Model 3 — the

11th best-selling vehicle overall for the year — was included as a “wildcard” for

2021.

After an incredible

50,000-plus votes, the Tesla emerged as a clear winner, beating more mainstream machines such as the Ford Ranger, Mazda CX-5, Mitsubishi’s ASX, Outlander and Triton, Nissan Navara, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Hilux and RAV4, and the Suzuki Swift.

From SUVs and utes, to small cars and electric vehicles, there’s

an eclectic mix in this year’s People’s Choice.

Even many of the familiar faces have gained new hybrid and plugin technology. It’s a measure of how much the NZ new-vehicle market has broadened in just 12 months and we’re excited to see which model you all think deserves the People’s Choice award for

2022.

It’s open now (scan the QR code on this page with your smartphone to go straight to the entry page) or simply visit www.driven.co.nz/ vote. Entries close at 5pm on Saturday, November 26.

The winner of the class will be announced on Friday, December

2 at DRIVEN.co.nz and on Zooming with DRIVEN.

Be sure to register your information with DRIVEN to be eligible to win.
