A British angler has caught one of the world's largest goldfish on record. Andy Hackett landed the 30kg fish, nicknamed The Carrot, after a 25-minute tug-of-war at Bluewater Lakes in France's Champagne province. A hybrid between a leather carp and koi, the goldfish was released into the lake 20 years ago.

Listening to “too loud” music on headphones and at events is putting at risk the hearing of up to 1.35b people between the ages of 18 and 34. “If you’re using ear buds, take them out and hold them at arm’s length, if you can still hear the music clearly, it’s too loud,” says earhealth researcher Sam Couth.
