A multi-unit business park is mooted for Pukekohe’s largest piece of industrial land for sale amid a chronic shortage of land for industry.

Nearly 2ha of bare land on John St, a few minutes drive from the town centre, is arguably the last prime greenfield site available in the heart of Pukekohe. It is in one of Auckland’s fastest growing areas, which is attracting enormous investment and development.

The site comes with a number of concept plans for an industrial business park to be developed on an extensive ready-to-build platform.

The freehold landholding at 60 John St, is being marketed through Shane Snijder, James Hill and Roman van Uden of Bayleys Real Estate. It will be sold by tender, closing Wednesday April 24, unless sold prior.

The approximately 1.94ha site lies within a three-minute drive of the town centre and Pukekohe Train Station. It enjoys 80m of road frontage to John St, a block from main arterial Queen St. Two Southern Motorway interchanges, at Drury and Bombay, are a little over 10 minutes drive away.

Snijder said the land represented a rare offering for investors, owneroccupiers and commercial and industrial developers. “This large greenfield development site is a pivotal landholding within Pukekohe, in one of its most sought-after and tightly held areas.

“Pukekohe has attracted strong demand for industrial and commercial property for a number of years. This has been driven by a strong local economy, above average population growth and a real shortage of industrial zoned land.

“Finding large lots of industrial land in prime locations is simply getting harder and harder.”

Hill said the site would suit a wide range of industrial and commercial uses, while Van Uden pointed out Pukekohe’s real estate appeal was underpinned by unprecedented growth in the Franklin area.
