Whanganui Chronicle - - News -

Rainfall was below average and soil moisture was also below average in Whanganui during the month of October, Niwa’s climate summary says. That situation is likely to continue during the next three months. Temperatures were about average in October. They are expected to stay that way or be warmer, with several very warm spells expected for November. There were more southerly winds than normal during October, but westerlies are expected to prevail until January. Sea temperatures will be near or above normal.
