THOUGHT FOR TODAY

-

Mathew 5 v 4: Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted.

When we learn to repent for the things we say daily which do not bless the Lord or offend others we need to learn to say sorry to the person we offend or to God.

Words hold power, they are power of life or power of death. When we abuse people with what we say, especially when we yell at children because they are being naughty, this will kill the spirit in the child and they will grow up with a low self esteem, and a sense of unworthiness, and a feeling of never being loved or appreciated. Instead, as parents we are called to be teachers. When a child does wrong, then teach him/her the correct way in a loving and caring way. A child will always respond to love and caring.

Ps34 v18: The Lord is always close to the broken hearted.

God loves us all the more when we see what we do wrong and are willing to correct it in the physical as well as the heart. That is why Jesus says blessed are those who mourn because God is with you in these times to love and comfort you.

Prayer: Lord I know you love us so much when we repent of the wrongs we do so help us to stay true to you each day so that we know and feel your blessings daily. — Marama Dey
