Long awaited book out soon
More than 12 months in the making, the long awaited 224 page, hard cover, full colour coffee table book on Whanganui, From the Sea to the Mountain, launches in just two weeks.
The book has been printed and is now on the high seas heading for New Zealand.
The official launch takes place in Whanganui on Thursday, November 15 and books will be available for collection or posting over the following days.
All purchasers will be advised of collection points around Whanganui.
More than 2200 copies have already been sold and it is anticipated that the first print run may well sell out prior to Christmas. A reprint is planned but copies will not be in Whanganui until the New
Year.
If you were waiting to see the book before making a decision to buy we have an advance copy (sent in by air). This can be inspected at the Whanganui Chronicle office on the corner of Guyton and St Hill streets.
At just $24.95 the book, with its world-class photography, offers real value for money. People have bought multiple copies to give away as Christmas / holiday presents. The publishers have also said that if anyone buys four copies they will give the purchaser a fifth copy free of charge. This has the effect of reducing the average price to just $19.96.
