Parking scheme updates

The Council has reviewed its SuperGold Card parking scheme and is asking all parking scheme cardholders to apply for a new permit card, which will be provided free of charge.

The scheme gives SuperGold Card holders, who have applied to the Council for a permit to display in their vehicle, free parking between 8.00am and 11.00am, Monday to Friday, in the central business district. Time limits set for the parking spaces still apply.

Previously, a $15.00 charge was to be applied for cards issued after 1 January, 2019 but this charge is no longer applicable. Those who have paid the charge will be refunded.

Application forms are available at the Council office at 101 Guyton Street or on the Council website at www.whanganui.govt.nz/parking
