The fol­low­ing or­gan­i­sa­tions and in­di­vid­u­als re­ceived fund­ing in the first round of the Creative Com­mu­ni­ties Scheme 2018-19:

• An­gela Craw­ford – $2333 for Whanganui Cel­e­brates In­ter­na­tional Jazz Day 2019

• Clau­dia Borella Glass De­sign Ltd – $1637.60 to­wards the cost of host­ing a glass fus­ing work­shop by Mor­gan Madi­son (Seat­tle)

• Dan Mills – $2000 for the sec­ond stage of the mu­ral on Castle­cliff Camp Store / Ran­giora St

• Kay Bense­man – $1911 for the pro­duc­tion of a chil­dren’s pepeha (a per­sonal in­tro­duc­tion in te reo Māori) book

• Pull Down The Sun band – $3000 to­wards the cost of pro­duc­tion of a mu­sic video

• Shanti Sib­bing – $1770 for Whanganui Walls men­tor­ship, a youth men­tor­ing pro­gramme to run along­side the Whanganui Walls Street Art Fes­ti­val

• Friends of Christ Church Or­gan – $920 for a recital by Martin Setchell

• Re­becca Holden – $315 to­wards the cost of gallery hire for A Home Away From Home ex­hi­bi­tion

• Sarah Thomp­son – $4200 to run an­i­ma­tion work­shops and screen­ings for ru­ral Whanganui chil­dren.
