Museum on the move
Watt Street site re-opens in New Year
The temporary Whanganui Regional Museum at 62 Ridgway Street has closed its doors to prepare for the move back to the museum building in Watt Street, which has been seismic strengthened.
The Ridgway Street space operated as a small satellite museum during the work. Installation of new exhibitions is in its final stages and it is time to install visitor reception and administration spaces back to the Watt Street building.
The museum will re-open its doors to the public on Saturday, 19 January 2019.
The Archive Research Service closed temporarily this month and will re-open on Monday, 4 February 2019.
