Cadets presented with awards
Air force holds its prizegiving
No 9 Squadron recently held its end of year function. The guest for the evening was Wing Commander Mike Cannon, Commanding Officer, No 3 Squadron RNZAF Ohakea.
Wing Commander and Mrs Cannon joined the squadron staff and cadets for the annual Mess Dinner before the prizes and promotions part of the evening.
As well as congratulating the cadets for their achievements this year, Wing Commander Cannon also presented Flight Lieutenant Bryce Hackett with the NZ Cadet Forces Medal, recognising his long service. The evening concluded with supper, providing an opportunity for the invited guests, squadron personnel, family and friends of No 9 Squadron to catch up.
