What: Concert- Tattletale Saints ‘In the Summertime’

For their 2023 release, In the Summertime, Americana duo Tattletale Saints, comprised of Cy Winstanley (vocals/guitar) and Vanessa McGowan (vocals/bass), take the father of bluegrass to heart with a collection of cover songs that celebrate the diverse sound audiences have been falling in love with since the band’s first New Zealand tour in 2010. The New Zealand-born, now Nashville-based pair will dive deep into old set lists, with surprising versions of everything from old country traditiona­ls and bluegrass to reggae and 70’s pop.

■ SARJEANT GALLERY

What: Theatre Country. The exhibition Theatre Country focuses on the collaborat­ion between artist Cecelia Kumeroa and environmen­tal scientist Dr Billy van Uitregt. Their moving image work, Dawn Chorus, features the sounds of birds recorded at Bushy Park Tarapuruhi by Dr van Uitregt and animated by Kumeroa. The exhibition is supported by works from the Sarjeant Gallery’s permanent collection including works by Gabrielle Belz and Matt Pine, that touch on the loss of habitat and extinction of native species.

What: Each month a member of our community is invited to browse our online collection and select six of their favourite artworks. Each My Choice selection, together with personal responses to the works, will be available to view on the Sarjeant Gallery website for one
