Burglary

Whangarei Report - - Opinion - _ Andrea Cromwell Whangarei

I feel very sorry for Rory and Nichole reading their story of stolen medals and memories.

I had a home invasion about 9pm, while my friend and I were having a catch up after many years. We had the TV on and the door shut. In those days I didn’t bother locking up until I went to bed. Big mistake! The point I want to make is that the burglars used my cell phone with camera to photograph my credit card and used it while travelling to Auckland. Luckily, I heeded my sister’s advice and changed my cards next day. As they hadn’t taken them, I couldn’t see why they needed to be changed! A fortnight later, when my Visa account and telephone account came in, I knew why.

My house is now monitored night and day, with back-up security should the alarm go off when I’m not there. These sewer rats have no conscience.
