Fox backs series
Motorcycling NZ has confirmed a four-round format for the 2019 Motocross Nationals. With new naming rights sponsorship from Fox Racing, the New Zealand Motocross Championship will start at the Taranaki Motorcycle Club’s Barrett Rd track near New Plymouth on Sunday February 3.
Round two is at the Rotorua Motorcycle Club’s Horohoro track on Sunday February 17 with a one week gap to the third round at Pukekohe Motorcycle Club Harrisville track on Sunday February 4.
Taupo’s Digger Mcewen MX Park retains the final round on Sunday March 10. National titles will be contested in the MX1 (450cc), MX2 (250cc) and 125cc 2-stroke categories. One regulation

change for the 2019 series will see 250cc 2-stroke bikes moved into the MX1 class.
The timing of the series allows international riders to use the New Zealand Championship as preparation for the 2019 Australian MX Nationals raced over 10 rounds which will start on March 17.
