Emma Watson’s happy ever after

-

She stars in the new live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast and it seems Emma Watson is headed for her own real-life fairytale happy ending, with rumours her boyfriend is about to pop the question!

After 18 months of dating, friends are whispering that the 26-year-old Harry Potter actress and tech entrepreneur William “Mack” Knight, 35, are set to get engaged – and his mother Katherine has already publicly given her approval, adding, “I have met Emma and she’s a wonderful girl.”

The pair haven’t officially acknowledged their relationship and not much is known about Mack, but it’s been reported that his family is from Florida, he has a twin and he makes more than $200,000 a year.

He and the star got together in 2015, shortly after her “horrendous” split from British rugby player Matthew Janney, from which Emma needed a healing break in Canada’s Rocky Mountains to recover.

“I felt really uncomfortable even before my relationship ended,” Emma confesses. “I went on a silent retreat because I really wanted to figure out how to be at home with myself.”

Part of Emma’s unease came from her early rise to stardom as Hermione Granger in the

Harry Potter series. Speaking about her years on the cult film saga, the actress recalls, “I’d walk down the red carpet and go into the bathroom. I had on so much make-up and these big, fluffy, full-on dresses. I’d put my hands on the sink and say, ‘Who is this?’ I didn’t connect with the person who was looking back at me.”

After that, Emma almost gave up acting, but she’s now back on the big screen with Beauty

and the Beast and shedding her wholesome child-star image.

The outspoken feminist was last week branded a hypocrite for flaunting her cleavage in a shoot for Vanity Fair magazine. However, an outraged Emma hit back at her critics, saying, “Feminism is about giving women choice. Feminism is not a stick with which to beat other women with. It’s about freedom, it’s about liberation, it’s about equality. I really don’t know what my tits have to do with it.”
