Humiliated after being dumped by Orlando Bloom just when she hoped he was going to propose, Katy Perry is plotting to get revenge the best way she knows how.
“Katy’s on a mission to rub a new romance in his face,” a source close to the pop princess
tells Woman’sDay, adding that she’s got a Hollywood A-lister helping her. “Jennifer Aniston is a good friend of Orlando’s and over the past year, Katy and Jen have become mates.
“If anyone knows about public humiliation following a high-profile dumping, it’s Jen, so she’s been in contact with Katy and promised her shesh won’t be single for long. She’sSh lining up some potential dates.”da
The former Friends star, who is rumoured to be expecting twins via a surrogate, isn’t the only one coming to 32-year-old Katy’s aid. Her hairstylist Chris McMillan has also joined Jennifer, 48, in taking on the task of matchmaker. “He’s been hunting through his celeb clients to look for a perfect match,” spills our source.
Soon after Orlando, 40, and Katy’s representatives issued a statement on February 28 that they were “taking respectful, loving space” from each other, the “Roar” singer booked time with Chris for a radical new platinum-blonde pixie cut with shaved sides. It was a hot new look for last week’s iHeartRadio Music Awards, but also an indication of Katy’s intentions to wash Orlando out of her hair for good.

As we reported last week, the shock split, which came after a year of dating, was caused by Katy’s desperation to have children. Last October, the star confessed her biological clock was ticking, saying, “Children are becoming a big focus.” And she’d worked especially hard during her time with Orlando, who is dad to son Flynn, six, to prove that she would be the perfect wife and mother.
In January, Katy threw a lavish surprise birthday party for Orlando and wrote thank- you notes to his ex-wife Miranda Kerr, 33, for letting her have time with Flynn. “It was overkill,” says an insider, adding that it was the beginning of the end of the relationship.
Yet the romance limped along until after the Academy Awards, when pictures emerged of Orlando flirting with heiress Erin McCabe at a pre-Oscars party. Seemingly enjoying his return to the single life, the
Hobbit actor has since been photographed topless and flirting with bikini-clad girls on Malibu Beach.
However, our source claims, “Orlando’s actually been trying to organise a rendezvous with Katy, but she suspects he only wants a booty call and she’s enjoying having the upper hand. She’s working on some new music and will be using the opportunity to address their relationship breakdown.
“Her next album is going to be her most explosive yet and hopefully she’ll have a new man on her arm by the time it’s released.”
