Britney finds her soulmate Why Sam’s her forever man

Thestar’s ‘toxic’ days are over

She’d put in the hard work. Over the course of her four-year residency at Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood, pop star Britney Spears had performed nearly 250 shows and now she was finally ready to relax.

So in January, she whisked her boys, Sean, 12, and Jayden, 11, away for some fun in the Hawaiian sun, and brought a special guest along – her boyfriend of one year, hunky Sam Asghari.

After all, Britney believes any moment with the personal trainer affords her a chance for growth. As she wrote on Instagram, “Every day, he inspires me to be a better person and that makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”

It’s a sensation the “Piece of Me” singer, 36, would like to hold on to after first crossing paths with the Iranian-born fitness model, 23, on the set of her steamy “Slumber Party” video in 2016. “Britney’s head-over-heels in love – the relationship is very serious,” an insider reveals, adding that the pair have talked about potentially having a baby.

“She was young when she had Sean and Jayden, and she feels much more mature now.”

A solid romance is only one piece of the new Britney. Hot on the heels of her successful Vegas residency, the singer is set to embark on a 40-date world tour in June, with Sam popping in “for as many dates as possible”, our insider tells.

After that, she’ll return to Sin City again for a lucrative new deal at the Monte Carlo Resort & Casino. “She couldn’t refuse the offer,” explains a source. “The schedule was perfect for her and her kids.”

And although she no longer wrestles with her dad Jamie’s decade-long conservatorship, we’re told she’s considered applying to have it removed. Our insider says, “The progress Britney has made in just the last several years has been tremendous.”

Indeed, her personal life has been soaring since she met Sam, perhaps because, unlike her romances with agent Jason Trawick and lawyer David Lucado, this union happened organically. Sitting together in a hallway on the music video’s set, they “were basically forced to talk to each other”, confesses Britney, who liked what she heard and decided to make the first move.

Our insider says, “She wasn’t set up with Sam as she was with her last two beaus – this came about without any interference from her parents or handlers. Those relationships ultimately failed because Britney wouldn’t have gravitated toward them on her own.”

Date with fate

She and Sam had immediate chemistry, but Britney’s circle wasn’t convinced the pair had staying power – even the singer had her doubts.

“She wasn’t looking for a relationship,” explains our source. “They were having fun, then they fell in love.”

As for that 13-year age gap, it wasn’t an issue for the pop princess. We’re told Sam has a lot more in common with Britney than her exes and his easy-going vibe is a perfect match for the chart-topper.

“They spend a lot of time together, cooking, working out, going on vacation or just hanging out,” reports our source. “She always has a huge smile on her face when she’s around him. It’s really sweet.”

As a bonus, Sam gets along famously with Britney’s sons from her short-lived marriage to Kevin Federline, 39, even joining the family on the boys’ joint birthday trip to Disneyland last September.

And when they’re all together at Britney’s house, “it can best be described as loud”, shares our insider. “Sam will skateboard around the gated community with them and spend a lot of time in the pool. Squirt-gun and water fights are a constant.”

While Britney and Sam rarely broach the subject of marriage, kids are a constant topic of conversation. The

insider reveals, “Britney would love to have a baby girl.”

As for Britney’s mental health, a friend tells us, “She seems to be in the best state she’s ever been in. She’s feeling confident enough to take control of her life again.”

That means addressing the conservatorship her father has had over her since her very public 2008 breakdown. Once angry and resentful about the way her dad took over, “she’s come to appreciate everything he’s done”, tells her friend. “She would have lost her boys if he hadn’t stepped in. He helped her get her life back on track.”

Now in a secure place, Britney has no issue with her dad continuing to oversee her estate and finances – what she really desires is personal choice.

“She wants the conservatorship to come to an end so she has more freedom to make her own decisions,” tells the insider. “It’s Britney’s hope that after the tour, Jamie will agree to discuss ending it once and for all.”

Meanwhile, the star knows that no matter what happens, she’ll have support from her number-one fan, Sam. “She’s very happy with her relationship, she has a consistent routine and she’s doing what she does best,” says her friend. “Life is good for Britney.”
