MEGHAN HIDES IT WELL!

The duchess is poised for a big reveal!

-

As a flurry of fighter jets soared over London to celebrate the Royal Air Force’s centenary, the Duchess of Sussex positively sparkled.

Taking her place amid the Windsors on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, Meghan had her handsome prince on one side, the Queen on the other and, according to palace insiders, a very special baby secret up her designer sleeve.

With speculation mounting that Prince Harry’s new wife is already expecting their first baby, a well-placed royal source tells Woman’s Day

that the duchess is going to great lengths to conceal her precious bump.

“Meghan’s entire wardrobe has been modified to hide her tummy,” our source reveals. “There’s not much of a bump to speak of right now, but she really doesn’t want to take any ny chances, hence all of her he

outfits are not figure-hugging around her middle.”

At the RAF celebrations, the former Suits actress – who will be 37 next month – turned heads with her bespoke navy Dior frock featuring a boatneck design, which drew comparisons to the Givenchy wedding gown she donned just two months ago.

It was the first of five stunning ensembles she wore in only 24 hours. Later that day, she flew with Harry to Ireland for her first international official engagement, stepping off the plane at Dublin in an emerald Givenchy pencil skirt and sweater combo.

Within hours, she’d changed into an Audrey Hepburn-esque cocktail dress by Kiwi designer Emilia Wickstead for a party at the British embassy. The following morning, the busy royal was meeting Ireland’s president in a taupe Roland Mouret sheath dress, before changing into a Givenchy trouser suit for a walkabout in the Irish capital.

“Meghan made it all look so easy, though her whole wardrobe was orchestrated to ensure that not a hint of a bump could be seen,” reports our source. “The trickiest thing is that she’s been suffering with a fair amount of morning

sickness behind the scenes, but she insists she feels fine and just wants to be out doing her royal duties.”

As they prepare to move from snug Nottingham Cottage into their lavish 21-room apartment in Kensington Palace, we’re told that the duchess and her devoted new hubby, 33, are working with decorators to set up a special wing for the new arrival.

OutofAfrica!

It’ll be more than just a nursery, adds our source, because it’s likely to be filled with the gurgles of more than one baby – Meghan and Harry have agreed they’d also love to adopt at least one child together.

“No British royal has adopted before, so they would certainly be making history. From very early on, Harry told Meghan just how emotionally attached he is to Africa, particularly Lesotho, so she agreed that if they did go ahead with an adoption, it would be from there. It’s something

they’ve both vowed to look into seriously after their first baby is born.

“There’s no denying that Meghan has already brought a sea change to the royal family – she’s an American divorcée of mixed race, so why not keep breaking down the barriers by adding adoption into the mix?”

And although it may be controversial, our source insists the Queen, 92, is very much on board with the move, saying the monarch has a serious soft spot for her new granddaughter-inlaw, as evidenced by their closeness on the palace balcony – something that led Harry to joke that she was the Queen’s favourite.

“She specifically wanted Meghan standing next to her on the balcony for the flyover,” reports our source. “They couldn’t stop chatting away to each other. The Queen says she’s like a breath of fresh air and the best thing to happen to the royal family in years. She keeps telling Meghan to do things her way.”

However, while Her Majesty is firmly on their side for the adoption, courtiers are a bit nervous of how the Queen will react when Harry and Meghan eventually reveal that they want to split their time between the UK and the duchess’ native California.

A palace insider tells us, “As much as Meghan loves her new royal life, she has made it clear to Harry that she wants her children to also grow up in Los Angeles. Harry’s agreed, so they’re also in the planning stages of finding a family home out in Malibu overlooking the ocean.

“Meghan wants her kids to grow up with the outdoorsy Californian lifestyle she had as a kid. She knows they’ll need to be predominantly based in London, but Harry’s happy to spend all their holiday time as a family in the US and they’re excitedly making plans for their dream home there.”
