BeverlyHil­lsCop franchises, but until recently, Brigitte Nielsen was arguably most famous for her five marriages, especially her tumultuous 19-month union with fellow action hero Sylvester Stallone.

Sonja star has been making headlines all over again as one of Hollywood’s oldest mothers, after giving birth to her fifth child, adorable daughter Frida, at the age of 54 – and Brigitte couldn’t be more excited.

Having turned 55 in July, the actress tells Woman’sDay this is “the best chapter of my life so far”. She gushes, “I am ecstatic, happy, serene, exhausted ... I can honestly say I have never been happier.”

Brigitte – also a mum to Julian, 34, Killian, 28, Douglas, 25, and Raoul, 23 – and her fifth husband, Italian TV producer Mattia Desi, 39, only announced their baby news in May, eight months into her pregnancy, due to the high risk of miscarriag­e.

The daughter Brigitte thought she’d never have arrived on June 22, two weeks before her due date, via Caesarean section, weighing 2.5kg. “Our precious little Frida, our true love,” the actress wrote on social media.
