Who am I?

-

I was born Adam Wiles in Scotland in 1986. Dad was a scientist, and Mum looked after me, my older brother and sister. By my early teens, I started recording songs on a computer in my bedroom. Leaving school at 16, I worked in a fish factory to earn money to buy DJ equipment. When I was 18, two of my songs were released by a small record label, which encouraged me to move to London. But within three years, I was back living with my parents and working in a local supermarket. However, I continued to post my songs online and was offered a recording deal with EMI, releasing my first album, ICreatedDisco, in 2007. The record was a hit and the following year, I scored my first UK number one, a collaboration with rapper Dizzee Rascal. My second album, Readyforthe Weekend, was released in 2009 and shot to the top of the charts. Since then, I’ve made and produced a string of hit records, working with megastars including Rihanna and Pharrell Williams. In the process, I’ve become the highest-paid DJ in the world, and dated celebs including Rita Ora and Taylor Swift. Who am I?
