HotasHalle! I’M FITTER THAN EVER AT 52

And the benefits extend far beyond a timeless glow. The star – who is a mother to daughter Nahla, 10, and son Maceo, five – reveals she’s experienced weight loss, a curbed appetite and a muchneeded boost in energy.

“Moms, that’s how we get rid of our baby bellies!” quips Halle, who also practises intermittent fasting because “I like to feel strong and healthy”.

Neverquit!

The X-Men beauty also finds strength at the gym and with her trainer of more than three years, Peter Lee Thomas, who she calls “the man who changed my life” and “my secret weapon”.

But the exercise guru insists it’s Halle’s unwavering motivation that helps her stay lean. Peter tells Woman’sDay, “She’s one of those special individuals who, even if she has one to two hours of sleep, she’ll get work done. It will take a lot for her to say, ‘Hey, I can’t train today.’”

Halle is committed to working out with Thomas five days a week, alternating between yoga, boxing, cardio and weights. “It’s all about having fun!” she says. And on her days off, the Los Angeles resident will often go hiking with friends.

The goal, according to Peter, is “to make sure we get a really good sweat” – and to emphasise her already seriously cut abs.

Since welcoming her daughter and son, Halle “has a really strong desire to keep her stomach fit”, tells Peter. “She definitely loves to train her core, but she also knows the importance of full-body connection and fitness.”

More importantly perhaps, the Catwoman actress knows her full potential. Thanks to Peter and his martial arts training, “I can actually defend myself and most importantly my children!” she shares. “As a woman, there is nothing more empowering.”

Her body confidence has led to inner peace as well. “Sexiness is a state of mind, a comfortable state of being,” Halle muses. “It’s about loving yourself in your most unlovable moments. Confidence has always come as a result of loving myself enough to put my health and wellness first.”
