Jenny from the Block is playing with the big boys in her new movie! The film, SecondAct, stars actress/singer Jennifer Lopez as Maya, a struggling, uneducated 40-year-old from the wrong side of New York who somehow manages to score an upmarket dream job after someone enhances her CV without her knowledge. The sizzling Hollywood star tells us more about her new role.

Have you ever lied to get a job like your character does?

I am sure! I can’t remember a time, but I am almost positive that has gone down.

Your love interest is played by Milo Ventimiglia. Were you a fan of This Is Us?

I haven’t watched it lately, but that’s one of the reasons. I was such a huge fan of This is Us in its first season or two. When I read the first finished draft of this script, I said this character has to be Milo! I can’t see anyone else doing it.

Would you like your kids to go to university?

Yes, if they want to. But I didn’t go, so I’m open to seeing what they become and what they want to do. If they want to, I’m glad I can send them to one of those schools.

What’ s your secret to looking so good?

You have to put in the work – there’s just no way around it. I don’t kill myself like I used to when I was in my 20s. I used to get up every day at 5am and go to the gym before work, then afterwards I’d go dance. I don’t do all of that stuff any more. I changed with the time and where I feel my body is at. Now I work out three times a week and do some dancing, and that is it.

What about your skin?

I’m actually coming out with a skincare line very soon, probably in the next year. I wish it was ready now, but it has to be how I want it to be. I won’t just throw it out there.
