She has always been naturally slim, but the Duchess of Cambridge has told pals she has to work harder to stay in shape since having her three children.

“Kate might look tiny to most of us, but she insists she’s been working hard to tone her tummy after giving birth to little Prince Louis last year.

“She sees her trainer Louise Parker twice a week and they work on keeping Kate’s body long, lean and sculpted. She loves doing sit-ups on a Swiss ball, as well as gentle weights and plenty of cardio. She jogs for 5km most days or goes for a cycle.”

And while she’s not a fan of fad food regimes, Kate, 37, tries to follow the Dukan diet, which is low on carbs and high in protein.

“A typical day might start off with some oatbran porridge, followed by a salad for lunch, and fish with kumara and vegetables for dinner.

“Kate tends to go for simpler foods they can all eat together as a family, so she likes that the diet plan fits into her lifestyle and never makes her feel deprived.”

Kate keeps her lean figure with the help of a high-protein diet.
