Champions. Alongside Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel and Mel B, Heidi will watch previous winners from all over the world compete. The blonde beauty sits down with
Woman’sDay to chat about the exciting new show.
What convinced you to sign forthenewseries?
There are so many amazing acts from over the years on AGT that deserve a second shot at winning. When they told us the show was going to be top acts from all of the GotTalent shows around the world, I was so excited! It’s amazing being able to bring everyone together and extend our AGT family.
Do your kids ever come along to the show?
AGT is a family programme in our house. We all sit and watch together, so when the live shows begin, they always want to come and sit in the audience!
How did you feel when Mel gave singer Susan Boyle the golden buzzer?
I was jealous of Mel! I’m a big Susan Boyle fan. I’ve loved her since she was on Britain’sGot
Talent years back. She’s incredible – her voice shocks you and really does take your breath away.
We’ve got a Kiwi in the competition – comedian Tape Face. What do you think of him?
You’d have no idea he was from New Zealand since he’s a mime and doesn’t speak! He is one of the most original acts I think we’ve ever had on AGT. It’s so clever what he’s been able to do all these years. My kids love him!
Speaking of New Zealand, we loved having you in the country to launch your underwear range and film Germany’s Next Top Model. What are your favourite memories of your time in the country?
I got to meet the New Zealand Warriors when I was in Auckland. We had a bunch of the team pose in their Heidi Klum Man boxers on the field! Then I put on a Warriors mask and cape, and started goofing around with them. It was a lot of fun!
Oh, and congratulations on your recent engagement! What was it about your fiancé that won your heart?
Thank you! I wasn’t going to get married again, but then I met Tom [Kaulitz] and here we are – happy as can be, and I’m so excited to build a future with him and my kids.
