WATER BIRTH AT HOME

-

When it comes to having her baby, Meghan’s determination to rip up the royal rule book continues, with the mum-tobe ditching the Queen’s top physicians in favour of having a female doctor deliver her firstborn.

After helping with all three of the Duchess of Cambridge’s births, gynaecologists Alan Farthing and Guy Thorpe-Beeston have been told they’re not needed this time, with a royal source explaining, “Meghan ghan said she doesn’t want the he men in suits. She was adamant she wanted her own people. It did leave e a few of us baffled.”

The former Suits star had previously raised eyebrows by deciding she didn’t want to follow royal tradition by giving birth at St Mary’s Hospital in London or posing for photographs with her child immediately afterwards.

While some reports suggest she’ll opt to have her baby at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey, the latest is that she wants a drug-free water birth at her new home, Frogmore Cottage, in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

It’s been pointed out that the Queen was born at her grandparents’ home and gave birth to each of her four kids at either Buckingham Palace or Clarence House. And a source close to Meghan insists, “Above all, this is her birth, her baby, and she must do whatever feels right for her. How could anyone judge her for that?”

However, there was plenty of judgement last week when it was revealed she and Harry enjoyed a threenight babymoon at posh Hampshire country house Heckfield Place, at a cost of up to $64,000.
