Royal cousin cuteness
Prince George’s new cousin is set to arrive any day now, but our future king already has a royal best friend!
The little lad and his second cousin Mia, both five, proved that they’re as close as can be on a family day out at the Burnham Market Horse Trials in Norfolk, where they cheered on Zara Tindall, who came third
and fifth in her events.
But the royal tots didn’t pay much attention to the competition as they played together, comparing heights and joining George’s little sister Princess Charlotte, three, for a zoom on the dodgem cars. The wee prince also played with a toy sword while being carried on Mike Tindall’s shoulders as his parents, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, watched on.
Although they left Prince Louis – who turns one this week – at home, William, 36, Kate, 37, and their kids were
the picture of a warm, relaxed family, brushing off rumours of trouble in their marriage.
“They seemed really happy and there were no signs of any tension between them,” a family insider tells Woman’s
Day. “It means a lot to William am to see the next generation of royals growing up as close as he was to his cousins.”
However, the feud with Prince Harry, 34, and the Duchess of Sussex, 37, is something else altogether – and it seems Zara, 37, and Mike, 40, are firmly on William and Kate’s side.
“William and Zara have always been close,” reports our insider. “They’re only one year apart, and because William is the heir to the throne and Zara is the Queen’s eldest grandchild, they both grew up with the same sense of responsibility towards their family. Zara gets on with Harry, but she’s always had a great relationship with William and she’d stand by him no matter what.”
