Two divorce bombshells

Adele’s ready to date again, and baby heartbreak for Michelle

She tried for years to make her marriage work. Now Adele is ready to say “Hello” to someone new.

The “Rolling in the Deep” singer set the internet on fire last week when she announced the end of her three-year marriage to former investment banker Simon Konecki.

But while the news came as a bombshell to her legions of fans, pals of the Grammywinning superstar say she’s ready to love again.

“Adele and Simon have been living separate lives for a long time now,” a well-placed source claims. “In Adele’s mind, she’s been single for almost a year because her marriage started breaking down long before their separation announcement.

“She’s done her grieving and is now looking forward to meeting someone new to bring back the spark she feels she’s she s lost over the past few years.

“And more than anything, she’s always dreamed of having a big family and is aching to have more kids – so she’s just grateful that at 30, she’s still young enough to do that.”

Adele was introduced to philanthropist Simon, 45, by Ed Sheeran in 2011 and the super-private couple wed in secret in 2016, four years after the birth of their son Angelo, who is now six.

Rumours of their rocky relationship have plagued the couple for years. In 2014, it was claimed Simon had temporarily moved into a bachelor pad, and in 2015, the pair were seen having a blazing row outside a London restaurant.

Friends say Adele, who grew up on a London council estate, felt “more and more suffocated” during her eight-year relationship with Eton-educated Simon.

“She became cut-off from many of her friends and became almost a recluse when he wasn’t around,” alleges our source. “It didn’t do great things for her self-esteem.”

For months, the pair had been moving in different ifferent circles. Adele had found nd an exciting new social group oup in Los Angeles and New York, with girlfriends Jennifer Lawrence, wrence, Emma Stone and Amy y Schumer. Meanwhile, Simon was constantly travelling ling on business to Africa and d India.

Dividing up their assets ssets has already begun. In January, Adele transferred ownership nership of a million-dollar house use in LA to Simon, and in February, uary, the pair sold their $5.8 million illion home in London. Adele, le, however, still has a $14 14 million spread in Beverly Hills s and a $12 million pad in London. ondon.

Those in the know say Simon is entitled to a large chunk of the singer’s $270 million fortune as they ey reportedly don’t have a pre-nup. “But it’s unlikely kely to turn nasty,” claims an insider. “Simon’s not like that. . His only concern is that he and Adele remain the best t parents they can be for Angelo.” o.”

Adele, says our source, urce, has been recovering from the split with the help of LA heartbreak eartbreak coach Claire Byrne and d has taken up meditation. “She’s starting to feel like her er old self again,” the source reveals. eals.

She’s also been leaning ning on Robbie Williams and wife Ayda Field, Alan Carr and J.Law, with whom she was last month seen enjoying a raucous girls’ night out. The pair gatecrashed karaoke night at a gay bar in New York and Adele introduced herself as a stay-at-home mum.

“Angelo is her main priority now,” tells our source. “All she wants is to get the divorce signed and finalised as quickly as possible so she can put it behind her and move on.”
