Bradley and Irina’s break-up wardrobe
It just goes to show – a family who dresses together doesn’t necessarily stay together!
Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk are still thrashing out how they’re going to share custody of their two-year-old daughter Lea following their split earlier this month.
And with the pair currently living on different coasts – for now Bradley remains in his Los Angeles mansion while Irina has moved back into
their New York pad – things are shaping up to be trickier than first thought.
But it seems the once loved-up couple still have one thing in common: a love for Burberry designer clothes!
Russian supermodel Irina, 33, was spotted taking Lea to a park in Brooklyn last week, decked out in matching mother-and-daughter Burberry dresses.
Then later that afternoon, her newly-minted ex Bradley, 44, was snapped making his way to Irina’s New York apartment wearing a black Burberry polo shirt featuring the same tartan on the placket.
The Hollywood heartthrob was there to pick up Lea and a well-placed insider alleges that while the estranged couple may still share the same taste for expensive threads, they’re both dealing with “a huge range of emotions”, which is making their break-up hard going.
“Irina is still feeling deeply humiliated by all the Lady Gaga rumours swirling around and feels she needs to get her revenge,” the source dishes. “And Bradley’s not helping by leaning on his Star is Born leading lady for support.”
The weekend before Bradley’s New York custody visit, Irina went out of her way to wow the crowds at a fashion show in Florence, Italy, in a strapless leather dress and then a black skirt with a sky-high split.
“It was great timing for Irina,” says our source. “She wanted to show Bradley just what he’s missing out on.”
On her return to New York, the SportsIllustrated cover girl flaunted a bare ring finger, which was once adorned with the extravagant green emerald sparkler, surrounded by petal-shaped diamonds, that Bradley had given her for their engagement.
While rumours continue to swirl about a romance between Bradley and Lady Gaga, 33, insiders say the two entertainers are “not an item”, but the friendship they forged during the making of their blockbuster movie is as strong as ever.
“He goes to Gaga for advice over everything, which is pretty insensitive at a time like this, but Bradley can’t help himself,” another insider tells. “He’s just totally spellbound by her and thinks she’s the wisest, coolest and most worldly person on the planet.
“Gaga’s in a tough spot because she doesn’t want to rub Irina’s nose in it, but still, she adores Bradley.
“He’s been spending a lot of time with Gaga, but he’s trying to keep a very low profile with regards to his love life and progressing that relationship.”
One of the main reasons for that, according to the source, is that The Hangover star is “very aware of how damaging being seen with Gaga could
be right now and he doesn’t want to do anything to upset Irina or affect the custody battle.”
The source claims the estranged couple have “settled on joint custody for now”, but Irina has made several hints that she’ll fight for more if Bradley permanently bases himself in LA.
“They’re desperately trying to avoid a messy court battle and get everything settled in private, but things could become very bitter and public if they can’t come to an amicable agreement.
“Feelings are still very fresh right now and they didn’t split on friendly terms, so while they’re trying to be as civil as they can, the tensions between them are extremely fraught.”
Irina – who previously dated footballer Christiano Ronaldo, 34 – has been busy arranging girls’ nights out and our source says, “Her girlfriends wouldn’t be surprised if she moves on quickly. She really wants to prove she’s not the ‘heartbroken woman.’”
And while Irina and Bradley are reportedly “on the same page” when it comes to parenting little Lea, “they certainly won’t be playing happy families any time soon or gushing about each other like ‘conscious uncoupling’ exes Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin.”
