Look at her now!

Adele’s divorce diet

-

Four became five last week when singing legend Adele joined the Spice Girls backstage after the legendary girl group went out in a blaze of glory.

After dancing and singing her heart out in the VIP area during the band’s final reunion concert in London, Adele, 31, joined her childhood idols for a night of partying – and onlookers couldn’t help but do a double-take at the recently-separated “Hello” hit maker.

“She was radiant,” a source tells Woman’s Day. “Adele’s been through a heartbreaking few months with her divorce.

All that stress led her down the path of emotional eating, but three months ago, she decided to take control of her life again – both mentally and physically – and she’s lost more than 10kg.”

In the absence of Victoria Beckham, 45, who chose not to be part of the tour, Adele looked like she could easily have slotted into the girl group she worshipped as a teeny bopper – and still does!

Last week, she shared on social media, “Oiii, last time I saw the Spice Girls at Wembley was 21 years ago! Tonight with my nearest and dearest I cried, laughed, screamed, danced, reminisced and fell back in love with my 10-year-old self. It’s no secret how much I love them, how much they inspired me to run for my life and never look back.”

And in the hours after Geri Horner, 46, Mel C, 45, Mel B, 44, and Emma Bunton, 43, waved goodbye to their fans, Adele – who shares her six-year-old son Angelo with ex-husband Simon Konecki, 45 – lived out her fangirl dreams, letting slip she “got drunk” with her idols.

But our insider claims the singer was back to her new health regimen the following day. “Before her transformation, Adele wasn’t hung up on being a certain size. She just knew she didn’t feel comfortable.”

The source says the “Someone Like You” crooner stuck to a diet of 1500 calories a day, and worked out three times a week to tone up and quicken her weight loss.

Adele’s never been a fan of exercise, so she knew when she started on her weight-loss mission, she had to make it fun and adopted pal Ayda Field – Robbie Williams’ wife – to be her Pilates buddy. And she hired trainer Kit Rich, who her BFF Jennifer Lawrence recommended.

“She’s a big food-lover and hates depriving herself, so this way she didn’t have to go without,” tells the insider. “She hired a healthy chef to coach her on how to cook tasty low-calorie meals and how to make interesting food swaps. Now, instead of her favourite chocolate puddings, she satisfies her sweet tooth with dark chocolate avocado mousse.

“She also cut out alcohol for three months and now sticks to boozing just on weekends. She’s adamant she won’t put the weight back on, and says she feels happier and more confident than she has in a long time.”
