Mia! to DarkestHou­r and new release LittleWood­s. Now the talented 30-year-old is adding another potential hit to her resume with Yesterday.

The hotly anticipate­d new film tells the story of struggling musician Jack (Himesh Patel), who wakes up one day to discover he’s the only one in the world who remembers The Beatles. He starts performing some of their hit songs and is suddenly shot to fame.

“Whether you’re a huge Beatles fan or not, this is the type of film that anyone can enjoy,” tells Lily. “It’s about friendship, romance, family, success and music, which brings everyone together. It dives into what it really means to be successful and happy.”

The Th actress t plays l Ellie, Elli Jack’s J k’ closest friend whom he’s known since he was a kid.

“She loves her vibrant and hectic life in Suffolk. She is basically Jack’s manager, driver and roadie, while also being a teacher. She and Jack have been best friends their whole lives, but Ellie is also very much in love with him. So when Jack becomes focused on his music, their romance is put on the backburner.” The film was written by Love

Actually and NottingHil­l screenwrit­er Richard Curtis and is directed by

SlumdogMil­lionaire’s Danny Boyle. For Lily, she was instantly hooked on the script the talented duo had created.

“By the end of the script, I was crying and laughing – I loved it,” she recalls. “It’s really rare you get a unique script that’s able to do all those things to you.”
