Heidi marries her rocker love again!
Heidi Klum and Tom Kaulitz decided that once just wasn’t enough to say “I do”, marrying for the second time in a stunning Italian ceremony on board a luxury yacht last week.
The romantic couple previously wed in a secret ceremony in Tokyo back in February, but this time around there was all of the fanfare you’d expect from the supermodel and musician!
An insider at the nuptials told Woman’s Day, “It was like something out of a movie, with a barefoot Heidi looking like an ethereal goddess in her billowing off-the-shoulder Kaviar Gauche frock, which she accessorised with gold bracelets and a diamond necklace spelling out ‘Tom’.”
The venue was also special, al, with the yacht Christina O
once owned by shipping tycoon Artistotle Onassis, whose wedding reception to Jackie Kennedy was held on board – as was Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier III’s! But naturally, the Project Runway host, 46, and her hubby added their own special touches.
“The entire yacht was adorned with thousands of white orchids, dusty pink and white roses, as well as ivory peonies strung from white satin drapes. Guests were greeted with flutes of vintage Dom Pérignon 1999 champagne, while a jazz saxophonist pal of Tom’s played a selection of the couple’s favourite songs,” gushes the insider.
The couple made sure their family was involved in the ceremony, particularly Heidi’s children, who she shares with ex-husband Seal.
“In an incredibly touching moment, Tom’s twin brother Billy sang a song he’d written especially for the couple as Heidi walked down the aisle to her groom – with her parents Erna and Günther giving her away, her eldest daughter, Leni, 15, serving as maid of honour, Lou, nine, as flower girl, and her sons Henry, 14, and Johan, 12, chosen as Tom’s groomsmen, which Heidi was incredibly touched by.
“Heidi struggled to hold back tears as Tom recited his vows, which had everyone in tears,” shares the source. “She joked that she was glad her make-up artist and friend Linda Hay was also a guest, given she’d be needing some immediate touch-ups after the ceremony!
“The post-wedding party at Capri’s La Fontelina restaurant was equally romantic, with guests feasting on a selection of seafood, steak and fine wines, followed by a fireworks display and dancing until the early hours – with little Lou being one of the last ones standing at 3am!”
It’s Heidi’s third marriage – she was previously wed to celebrity hairstylist Ric Pipino and singer Seal – while it’s the second for Tom, 29, who divorced Ria Sommerfield just four months before he popped the question to Heidi.
The couple were first romantically linked in March last year and became engaged
in December. Months ago, Heidi told Ellen DeGeneres that she had found a great person and believes in love and marriage, despite failing twice at it. And now she has her wish!
“Heidi’s on cloud nine and said it was everything she could have dreamed of and more,” reveals the source. “She now has to work on planning their next celebration for Tom’s 30th birthday next month and inviting their loved ones back for a reprise!”
