The secret’s out

Meghan and Harry’s baby No.2

-

Master Archih Archiee MountbattenWindsoWindsor mightiht bbe slightlylihl too young to ask his mummy and daddy for a baby brother or sister, but that’s what he’s getting for his first birthday, if strong rumours from within Buckingham Palace are to be believed.

The couple, who have been hitting headlines over speculation that they’re expecting again, appeared to confirm the news last week when they stepped out together for the annual WellChild awards in London.

“Meghan could not stop touching her stomach and beaming,” says an onlooker, who noted there was the beginnings of a bump underneath a favourite green wool dress she first sported during the 2017 interview in which she confirmed her engagement. “It was quite obvious, so she must be almost three months along.”

Harry, 35, was also struggling to contain emotions of his own while making a speech at the charity event – sensationally bursting into tears while wh lile talking about his wife and six-month-old son.

“Last year when my wife and I attended, we knew we were expecting our first child – no-one else did at the time, but we did. I remember squeezing Meghan’s hand so tight during the awards,” he said. “And now, as parents, being here and speaking to you all pulls my heartstrings in a way I could never have understood until I had a child of my own.”

If 38-year-old Meghan’s bumpy behaviour and Harry’s untypical emotional display was a way of announcing baby number two, it would come exactly a year after her revealing her pregnancy as she touched down in Australia for her first bigroyal tour last year. “This means that if she’s around three months, she could even have the next baby on Archie’s birthday,” says an excited insider. “I know she’d dearly love a little girl. A little princess born around the same time as her son would be the icing on the cake for Meghan and Harry.”
