They have been trying to fly under the radar, but when you’re Brad Pitt, it’s hard to go unnoticed. And after the Hollywood heart-throb was spotted on a fourth date night with Arrested Developmennt Development star Alia Shawkat last week, the budding relationship has everyone buzzing!

The pair even sat slightly apart with friends f in a box at the concert – although within touching distance di from each other – while whi Brad chatted animatedly with the woman next to him. him But all the while the woman he arrived with, Alia, smiled knowingly.
“Brad was wa holding her hand and rubbing r her leg during the show, and exchanging gooey-eyed glances. Friends Fr have not seen Brad this t happy in a very long time,” says the source.
“They were w extremely touchy-feely touchy-fee throughout the show, and Brad affectionately had his hand ha on Alia’s back as they th were ushered h d out of f their box and into their waiting limo, which was taking them back to Brad’s Los Feliz home, where Alia’s been practically living for the last few weeks.”
Just days earlier on November 16, the pair turned heads when they arrived together at an art exhibition opening in Los Angeles, with onlookers noting that despite chatting and mingling with some of the artists in attendance, Brad seemed to only have eyes for Alia. They had also been spotted taking in a comedy show in LA in October and leaving a theatre production in September.
“He has finally found someone he connects with,” an insider says of Brad, 55, who split from Angelina Jolie in 2016. He and Alia, 30, have a lot in common, adds the source, “and he’s telling friends she’s one of the most interesting women he’s met in LA in a very long time.”
According to a pal, the couple met via an A-list mutual friend at a gallery opening and had plenty to talk about. “Brad was a big fan of ArrestedDevelopment and always thought Alia was someone to watch,” says the insider. They bonded over their shared love of art – Alia’s an avid painter and Brad’s been studying sculpture re since his painful divorce from Angelina, with whom he shares six kids: Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Brad loves that Alia has substance. “He likes that she’s smart, opinionated and knows something about any topic you bring up,” tells the source.
He also finds her funny and sexy. “She makes him laugh, and he thinks she’s gorgeous. Alia isn’t a vapid, fameseeking actress looking to latch on to a famous star. She’s her own person.”
The feelings are mutual. “Alia finds Brad sexy, of course,” adds the insider. “Come on, he’s Brad Pitt!”
The actress, who has won accolades for her roles in TV shows Transparent and Search Party, has been romantically linked to ThisIsUs star Michael Angarano and indie rocker Jack Antonoff, and came out as bisexual in 2017.
She’s been surprised by Brad’s unassuming personality. “She likes how down-to-earth he is, which she didn’t expect,” tells the source, adding that the 25-year age difference hasn’t been an issue. “She’d never dated someone his age before, but it’s not a problem.”
Still, they’re taking things slowly and Alia hasn’t met Brad’s kids yet. “He’s not rushing that,” says the insider.
And he has no plans to introduce her to his ex-wife anytime soon. “That’s not on the cards this early on.”
While Brad’s not overly concerned about getting Angelina’s personal approval, he feels he’ll eventually need it for the sake of their kids – and he doesn’t want to stir the pot when the divorce has yet to be finalised. “But he does actually think Ange and Alia would get along,” says the insider. “And he thinks his kids will love her.”
In the meantime, Brad doesn’t want Alia to get overwhelmed by all the attention that comes with being his girlfriend. “He’s been worried about that. Not a lot of women can or want to handle that level of scrutiny.”
But the showbiz insider says Alia doesn’t share his fears. “If anyone can deal with all of that, it’s her.”
“We all think he and Alia have a good shot,” says a friend. “They make a great couple, and we’re excited for this romance to blossom. Brad deserves it.
“Brad’s just enjoying being happy again, and he and Alia have a spiritual connection which he hasn’t felt in a very long time.”
