‘I’M READY FOR A BABY!’

Dani and her bride-to-be can’t wait to start a family

It’s shaping up to be a huge year for corrections officer Dani Beale. Not only is she competing on Australian Survivor: Brains V Brawn, but she’s planning to get married to partner Jasmin and start a family too.

The 34-year-old Sydneysider tells Woman’s Day that their wedding will be “low-key”, adding, “We’ve decided it will just be her and me eloping, but then we’re going to throw a massive party.”

Dani says she and Jasmin are looking forward to having a baby too. “We’ve been ready for years,” she grins.

Jasmin, who’s a “massive” Survivor fan, was thrilled when Dani was cast on the show. “She loves and supports me, and is stoked I actually went out there and did my best,” Dani says. She bonded with competitors like Shannon Lawson and Hayley Leake over their desire for children, saying, “We were all on the same page.” This made it easy to form an allfemale alliance on her Brawn tribe.

“With such an amazing group of females, you’d be silly not to want to bind together and make a kick-arse girl group,” tells Dani. “It’s good to get close to the guys because they’re the strength, but at the end of the day, girls rule.”

She reckons Hayley is her top competitor to take out the show. “She’s amazing physically, her social game is great and her strategic game is amazing,” Dani enthuses, adding that she feels bad about getting rid of former ally Simon Mee.

“We got along really well,” she says. “Simon does have a big ego on him, but he’s actually a great guy.” However, she thinks the “huge physical competitor” would have been too much of a threat if he’d made it to the tribal merge.

Meanwhile, Dani’s game plan is to fly under the radar in the beginning and then “creep up and take over”. She laughs, “Simon thought he was the alpha of the tribe, but we all know who the real alpha is – and that’s me!”
