Nicole’s fury over KEITH & ADELE’S SECRET BOND
The Aussie singer saves the day but his wife is far from happy
Keith Urban is the quintessential nice bloke, who’s always ready and willing to help out his mates. But after stepping in to help his beleaguered friend Adele, the country crooner could be facing big trouble at home.
Woman’s Day has learned that Adele is “thanking her lucky stars” that Keith heroically agreed to ll several gaps left by her last-minute, controversial residency cancellations in Las Vegas – though friends say that while the Hello singer is “relieved and grateful” to Keith, 54, it’s quite the opposite for his wife Nicole Kidman.
“is has thrown out all their family’s plans and Nicole’s having to limit her commitments to pick up the slack at home,” says an insider. “But more than that, it feels like Adele’s snapped her ngers and people-pleaser Keith’s leapt to her assistance without any thought as to how it might a ect the family.”
US reports claim the 33-year-old British singer axed her much-anticipated shows at Caesars Palace due to “issues with her boyfriend”, Rich Paul, 40, leaving one of the most powerful entertainment venues in the world empty.
TO THE RESCUE
It’s also said she clashed with set designers, and had issues with the props and sound systems provided at the legendary Colosseum auditorium.
“Caesars Entertainment was fuming with Adele for leaving peak dates wide open, so Keith has literally saved everyone millions and given Adele a chance to pull herself together,” says an insider. “She knows it was a big ask, but she knew he hadn’t lled all his Vegas dates, so he was one of the rst

people she thought of when it came to making up for leaving the casino in the lurch. Apparently Adele called Keith directly, and she was in tears and so distressed when they spoke – how could he say no?”
Nicole, also 54, wishes he did, given his former penchant for partying that saw him landed in rehab months into their marriage.
“Nic’s spent their entire marriage supporting Keith’s sobriety and keeping him away from dodgy places and now he’s going to be in the heart of it all for nearly a month longer than they thought,” says a source. “He now has dates across several weekends – and you can be sure his wife will instruct him to y in just in time for warm-up and out of Sin City as soon as the curtain touches the stage oor.”
Sources say that despite Nicole’s reservations, Keith’s “incredibly excited” to play the Colosseum, and is even considering adding more dates to his run that so far spans from March to May.
“Nicole won’t be pleased about it if he does. She has a lot of plans for Keith and their daughters over the [US] summer,” says a source. “People have taken advantage of Keith’s nice guy reputation and it doesn’t seem right that Adele is relying on him – and, in turn, her and the girls – to save her from a nancial pitfall.”
THREE’S A CROWD
It’s not the rst time Adele’s come between Nicole and Keith.
At the 2013 Grammys, Keith and Adele were caught in deep conversation in their seats, to the exclusion of Nicole, who was pictured looking on awkwardly.
“He was in trouble over that,” says our source. “He was putting on all his charms and Adele went gaga over him, even though her own husband at the time was sitting nearby. It was probably the rst time Nicole’s ever felt like a third wheel! Nicole knows Keith’s obsession with Adele is purely professional, but it’s understandable that her nose be out of joint over this.”
