In the early 2000s, Leonardo DiCaprio kept paprazzi and comedians everywhere in a job as he cycled through dates, ings and relationships with Hollywood’s most eligible bachelorettes, from supermodel Gisele Bundchen to actress Blake Lively.
At the time, the Titanic actor was proud of his ladies’ man status and even bragged to friends that he had no interest in ever settling down.
But in 2017, that all changed when he met young model and actress Camila Morrone at the Cannes Film Festival – and he’s been rmly o the market ever since!
At rst, friends predicted Leo’s ing with Camila, who at age 24 is almost exactly half the age of her 47-year-old partner, wouldn’t last.
ose who know Leo confess to Woman’s Day that he always dated younger, so it wasn’t so much the age di erence that would complicate things, insisting instead “it was more that he had no interest in a long-term relationship with anyone”.
However, insiders say Camila’s mother Lucila Sola has played a big part in Leo’s relationship. Lucila dated Hollywood legend Al Pacino, 82, for several years and is also a former co-star of Leo’s.
“Al Pacino is very protective of Camila, and very much a stepfather gure in her life. No one was quite sure how he’d react to the news that Leo was dating someone he thought of as a daughter,” a source dishes.
Now, despite relentless rumours they had gone their separate ways, the couple are celebrating ve years together, with Leo whisking Camila o to Mexico for a romantic vacation.
“Leo and Camila just work,” says an insider. “In the early days, in Leo’s mind it probably was just another ing. But as time went on, he found he couldn’t live without Camila.
“She has become his partner in every way and he waits on her hand and foot,” the source adds, noting it “very much helps” that Al is supportive of the pair’s blossoming relationship.
“Leo wouldn’t have dared to put a foot wrong with Camila anyway because he knew he’d have Al to answer to,” the insider quips.
They’ve managed to keep their romance hush-hush – but it appears Russell Crowe may have finally popped the question to girlfriend Britney Theriot after she was spotted recently with what appeared to be a wedding ring!
The stunning former actress, 31, was seen wearing the mystery band on her ring finger as she made her way through New South Wales’ Coffs Harbour Airport after flying in on a private jet with Russ, 58, for the Easter long weekend.
The dazzling sighting comes after rumours first swirled that the star had proposed while shooting a film in Thailand late last year.
