A touchy trio
AMANDA SAYS Rocket is about three and when he comes through, he’s a rowdy character who’s a bit naughty! He’s an indoor cat and likes to hide in cupboards. The older cat Satine comes through and tells me she’s 19. Both the boys, Rocket and Quill, love stalking her, but Rocket is the worst. He’ll block her way to the litter box and stalk her, but she’s a clever lady and she gives it right back to both of them – she won’t hesitate to smack them! Chanel’s nana comes through and tells me she is with her husband Grandad, who passed five years ago – they have a few other cats too. Quill tells me he’s only three years old and has been with Chanel since he was a kitten. He is very sorry for stalking Satine and promises he won’t do it again, whereas Rocket needed a good talking to. All three tell me they’re excited about the baby coming and they’ll be on their best behaviour.
CHANEL SAYS I reached out to Amanda because our two younger cats had been bullying our older cat. She deserves her peace and quiet, although Amanda was right in that she doesn’t hesitate to give back! I also hoped to prepare them for our baby on the way. While our focus will shift, we still love them very much. I was very moved to hear from my nana. I’m happy she’s with my pa and all the animals.
