KING’S GAME OF HOMES!
Harry and Meghan have finally been kicked out of Frogmore in the latest change of royal residences
King Charles has given notice to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex that they’re to clear their UK home, Frogmore Cottage, of their remaining belongings by June.
In a bombshell revelation that British royal experts are calling “Frogxit”, it’s understood the family is being evicted as a direct result of Prince Harry’s blistering attacks on his 74-year-old father and brother Prince William in his memoir Spare.
According to British newspaper The Sun, the King has offered Prince Andrew the keys to the recently refurbished home on the Windsor Castle estate, which was gifted to the Sussexes by the Queen as a wedding present in 2018.
Harry, 38, Meghan, 41, Archie, three, and Lilibet, 21 months, “have not been offered an alternative UK home”.
Our sources say the stunning move “permanently cuts ties between the King and his son”.
“It’s incredible that the grandchildren of the King no longer have a home base within the kingdom,” says one insider. “It’s also a safe bet that Charles won’t be allowing Harry’s kids to be known as prince and princess either.”
While it’s a strong response from the King after years of public attacks from the Sussexes, insiders say Harry and Meghan – who plastered on a smile and were pictured entering the swanky LA members-only club San Vicente Bungalows on the day the news broke – won’t take this lying down.
“Harry and Meghan have proved in the past that they aren’t afraid of court action,” says a source. “They’ll be having lawyers look at whether this eviction is even legal, given they signed a long lease and poured their own money into the renovations.”
Woman’s Day understands that while William, 40, was supportive of Charles turfing Harry out, one source told Sussex-friendly reporter Omid Scobie that at least two members of the royal family are “appalled” by the move.
