The judges thought Team Blue’s ‘coastal retreat’ room had some great design elements – achieved at the expense of styling and finishing. Jason said he liked the feature wall colour but Kristina said it made the room feel cold. They liked the art but said the placement of a clock at the end of the bed wasn’t relaxing!

STYLING TIP The coastal look isn’t so much about the ocean as it is about natural textures – take inspiration from the beach, driftwood, grasses and trees, and warm it up with soft throws and cushions.
