Berger Paints appoints Phoebe Obi new CFO

BERGER PAINTS NIGERIA (BPN) Plc, a leading paint manufactur­er in the country, has reinforced its operating effectiven­ess and value creation with the appointmen­t of Pheobe Onyinye Obi as the company’s new chief financial officer (CFO). The appointmen­t is in furtheranc­e of the company’s strategic plan to position its operations for increased efficiency and enhanced value creation.

Berger Paints, in a statement signed by the company secretary, Ayokunle Ayoko and filed with The Nigerian Stock Exchange, said the appointmen­t of Obi was consistent with the company’s policy of attracting talents, adding that it has been approved by the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

The paint manufactur­ing giant further revealed that Obi’s wealth of experience of almost 15 years in leading strategic planning, budgeting, and corporate finance for high-growth organisati­ons will be an added advantage to the firm in a bid to realizing her goals and set objectives as top paint manufactur­er in Africa.

According to the company’s statement, “We are pleased to inform our stakeholde­rs and by extension, the public, that in furtheranc­e of its plan to strategica­lly position the company’s operations for increased efficiency and enhanced value creation, the board of Berger Paints Nigeria Plc (BPN), has approved the appointmen­t of Pheobe Onyinye Obi as the Chief Financial Officer.

“Obi comes with almost fifteen years of extensive local and internatio­nal experience in leading strategic planning, budgeting, and corporate finance for highgrowth organisati­ons.
