Benchmark Hotels Owerri gets service, facility quality tune up for guests at yuletide

BENCHMARK HO TELS, ONE of the leading standard hotels, in terms of service efficiency, staff quality and management located at Ikenegbu Layout, in Owerri has rebranded to offer better services to its numerous guests who will come from various parts of the world during and after the Yuletide, Ogunyemi Odunayo, the general manager, told Business A.M. in an interview.

Odunayo disclosed that the rebranding of every department in the hotel to receive guests, customers and visitors at Christmas and in the new year, is another signal to the public that the state is safe and the era of fear as a result of insecurity experienced in the South East geopolitical zone in the country few months back is becoming a thing of the past.

The general manager informed that, “all the hotel facilities are being updated to meet with December demand; this we do regularly but not just because of December, rather, we are rebranding our hotel by changing some of the equipment in our rooms, painting, decorating, etc and I think Benchmark Hotel is the new destination everyone wants to lodge in,” Odunayo said, adding that the hotel is known for its maintenance culture and regular rebranding of its product offerings.

To maintain the standard the entire workforce of the firm is being retrained to meet the customer’s needs and products repackaged to also meet the taste of its various guests, the general manager explained, adding that staff have been retrained to offer the required services, in terms of security, guest’s entertainment and service delivery.

He revealed that the rebranding of the hotel, which is in line with its mission to keep ‘updated and abreast’ of the happenings in the hospitality industry globally, has added glamour to the Benchmark Hotel outfit.

According to him, “with its good location, tight security, proximity, good road networks, accessibility, uninterrupted electricity power supply, and the state-of-theart facilities make lodgers prefer Benchmark Hotel to other hotels in Owerri.

He continued, “our out-door catering services for occasions such as wedding ceremonies, receptions, coronations, naming ceremonies, birthday parties, political meetings, family reunion, etc, have always enjoyed increased patronage, especially during the ember months and this trend continues as a result of the standard of service we have maintained.”

He proclaimed, also, to the hotel’s guests and the general public, that Benchmark Hotel is safe and that there is nothing to fear in the southeast any longer as adequate security measures have been taken to ensure their safety, especially in Imo State, as businesses have returned to normalcy.
