Everyone has probably wound down for the year and are looking forward to 2022. So much has changed over the past couple of years and no one really knows what the global or local economic landscape would look like in the new year, especially with the outbreak of the Omicron variant of Covid-19. But we are all sure that we are still going to have to deal with career issues and be either looking forward to getting back in work or looking to change our current jobs or, perhaps, looking to position ourselves assuredly where we are or where we hope to be. No matter what, the changing landscape means that the nature of work has changed and there are more changes ahead, hence all the talk about the future of this, the future of that. And the future of work is not exempt from this debate or discussion. As we count down the year finally, we thought to rewind and remind you about what Jennifer had thought earlier on, you ought to be considering in leveraging your career for the future of work. This re-run of the article is to bring it to the many new readers who have now joined the column’s growing followership, but who missed it. This was her first piece for this excitingly fresh column. Happy reading.
