Financial markets welcome 117 new dealing clerks

A TOTAL OF 117 NEW AUTHORISED Dealing Clerks (ADCs) were inducted by Nigerian Exchange (NGX) Limited from 63 Trading Licence Holders to be recognized dealers on the exchange across the federation.

At the induction, the new ADCs were charged to uphold the highest level of ethics and responsibi­lity in dischargin­g their duties to clients.

An authorised dealing clerk is an employee of a stockbroke­r who is entitled to enter a stock exchange and act on behalf of his employer.

The dealer must have a solid understand­ing of the capital and financial markets. Temi Popoola, chief executive officer, NGX, at the ceremony said, “On behalf of the Board and Executive Management of NGX, I would like to congratula­te all today’s inductees.
